Intelligence

Once famous Greek philosopher Socrates was busy discussing an important topic with his disciples. At the same time an astrologer rushed there wandering. The astrologer claimed that he could tell about the person by looking at the face.

Socrates was very intelligent, but he was also very ugly. But people loved Socrates because of his good thoughts. The astrologer looked at Socrates' face and said, "The shape of its nostril suggests that this person has a strong sense of anger."

Hearing this, Socrates' disciples were angered, but Socrates stopped his disciples and gave the astrologer full opportunity to speak.

The astrologer said, "It will definitely be greedy due to the shape of its forehead and head. It is absolutely eccentric according to the composition of its chin. According to the texture of its lips and teeth, this person is always motivated for treason.

On hearing this, Socrates thanked the astrologer and sent him back. Seeing this, Socrates' disciples were surprised.

Socrates pacified the curiosity of the disciples, saying, "It is not right to suppress the truth. The astrologer told me, all the evils are in me. I accept these evils, but the astrologer has paid no attention to my conscience." At my discretion, I control all these evils.  The astrologers might have forgotten to say this.

It means to say that a person becomes great not by his appearance but by his intelligence and knowledge.
