Service

Jesus Christ is known for service work. He always stayed away from the superior class of society and tried for the advancement of weaker section.

Jesus helped the needy by roaming the streets. He would do everything possible for them, which would help in improving their situation.  There were many obstacles to doing this kind of work, but Jesus would easily cope with them, but did not give up his goal of social reform.

One day, on the way, Jesus saw an orphan. He was wearing a torn dress. He was thirsty and sick. Isha's pity for the orphan arose. Jesus lovingly raised her and said, "Brother! Come home with me."

Orphan went home with them. On his way home, Jesus first bathes orphan, gives him clean clothes and then sits with him for a meal, at the same time many wicked and sinners also sit with Isha and his disciples to dine.

Seeing this, orphan said to the disciples of Jesus Christ, "Why does your master dine with the wicked and the sinners?"  Jesus heard and said, "The doctor is not for the good, but for the sick. I have come to serve, not to serve myself, because I have come to convince sinners to give up sin."

The gist of saying this is that true social service is for the backward classes of society, so that it can become a part of the mainstream.  Therefore, a true social worker should always be with the weaker class and not with the superior class of society.
