Tea, Tears, and the True Value of Family

An elderly man sells tea from a train at the station. After selling tea from the train, he went to his hut. He told his elderly wife to make another kettle of tea before the next train arrived.

They were both very old. The man said, "If only we had children, they would earn money and feed us in our old age."

Because we don't have children, we have to work even in our old age." Hearing this, his wife's eyes filled with tears.

She filled the tea kettle and gave it to her husband.

The elderly man took the tea kettle and returned to the station.

He saw an elderly couple sitting on a bench on the platform from morning till evening. They weren't boarding any trains.

Then the elderly tea seller went to them and asked them, "Which train do you want to take? I'll tell you when and where your train will arrive."

Then the elderly couple said, "We have nowhere to go. Our younger son sent us here with a letter, saying that our eldest son will come to the station to pick us up. If he doesn't arrive, you should go to the address mentioned in this letter."

We can't read or write, so please read this letter and tell us where this address is so we can reach our eldest son.

When the tea seller read the letter, he fell to the ground.

The letter said, "These are my parents. Whoever reads this letter should leave them in a nearby old age home."

The tea seller thought, "I'm childless, so I'm working in my old age. If I had children, I wouldn't have to."

This elderly couple has two sons, but neither is willing to take care of them.

You may or may not give your children wealth, cars, bungalows, but you must give them good values."
