Once upon a time, there was a prosperous and peaceful kingdom ruled by a just king. His subjects revered him greatly because he always stood for truth and justice. He had a very intelligent and shrewd minister in his court, whose wisdom and reasoning were renowned throughout the kingdom. People said that the minister could solve even the most complex problems that no one could even imagine.
In a small village in the same kingdom, there lived a blind monk. He considered himself wise and a fortune teller. People from far and wide came to him to learn their fortunes. The villagers respected him greatly because many of his predictions had come true. Gradually, his fame spread, and people began to consider him a saint.
One day, a relative of a man living in the same village brought his little niece to his home for treatment. The girl was very frightened. Some time ago, her parents had been murdered in front of her eyes. After that horrific incident, she became frequently ill and distrusted anyone easily.
One day, while the girl was out walking with a relative, she spotted the blind monk. Upon seeing him, the girl began to tremble violently and screamed,"This is the one! He killed my parents!"
Everyone was shocked. The monk became angry and said,"I am blind. How could I kill anyone? This girl is lying."
The villagers consoled the girl and apologized to the monk. But after returning home, the girl continued to cry and repeatedly insisted that the monk was the murderer. Her words clearly betrayed her fear and truth. Gradually, even the relatives began to suspect her.
Finally, they decided to seek help from the wise minister of the court. They went to the minister and explained the entire incident in detail. The minister listened patiently and said,"Come to the king's court tomorrow. I will decide this matter there."
The next day, the girl and her relatives arrived at the court. The minister secretly summoned the monk to the court as well. The court was decorated, the king was seated on his throne, and the minister was standing beside him.
The minister suddenly drew his sword and quickly advanced towards the monk, as if about to strike him. Seeing this, the monk panicked and immediately drew the sword hidden behind his clothes, ready to defend himself.
The court fell silent. The minister smiled and said,"Your Majesty, this monk is not blind. If he were truly blind, how would he have drawn his sword after seeing my actions?"
The king understood everything. The soldiers immediately apprehended the monk. Under rigorous interrogation, he confessed his crime. He had murdered the girl's parents out of greed and was pretending to be blind to avoid being caught.
The king punished him severely and secured justice for the girl.
That day, the minister's wisdom was praised throughout the kingdom. People realized that the truth, though delayed, always comes out.
