Once upon a time, a powerful and just king ruled his kingdom. He was very intelligent, but he also constantly tested the wisdom and knowledge of his courtiers. He had a very clever and wise minister in his court, whose wisdom was renowned far and wide.
The king often tested his intelligence by asking him difficult and unusual questions. One day, the king summoned the minister to his court and said,"Minister! Today, I want to ask you three questions that are not easy to answer. If you can answer them correctly, I will be even more impressed by your wisdom."
The minister folded his hands and said, "Your Majesty! Please permit me."
The king posed three questions:
1. Where does God live?
2. How can God be found?
3. What does God do?
After hearing these questions, the minister was lost in thought for a while. Then he said politely,"Your Majesty! These questions are very profound and deep. I need a day to think about them. I will give you the answers tomorrow."
The king agreed.
Returning home, the minister began to think deeply about these questions. He couldn't think of a satisfactory answer. Just then, his son, seeing him worried, asked,"Father! Why are you so thoughtful? Is there a problem?"
The minister told his son the three questions the king had asked. Hearing the questions, the son smiled and said,"Father! I can answer all three of these questions. Please take me with you to the court tomorrow."
The minister had complete faith in his son, so he agreed.
The next day, the minister arrived at the court with his son. The king and all the courtiers were astonished to see his son with the minister. The minister bowed to the king and said,"Your Majesty! I discussed the questions you asked with my son. He wishes to answer them. If you permit, he may present his answers."
The king eagerly replied,"Of course! We would like to hear his answers."
The minister's son bowed to the king and said,"Your Majesty! Before answering the first question, I request that milk with sugar be brought."
The king ordered his servant. The sugared milk arrived shortly. The son said,"Your Majesty! Please taste this milk and tell me how it tastes."
The king tasted the milk and said,"This milk is sweet."
The son then asked,"Your Majesty! Can you see the sugar in it?"
The king smiled and said,"No, the sugar has completely dissolved in the milk. It is not visible."
Then the minister's son said,"Your Majesty! Similarly, God is present in every object in the world. He is invisible, but if you search for Him, He is found everywhere. This is the answer to your first question: where does God live?"
Then he ordered yogurt and asked,"Your Majesty! Can you see butter in this yogurt?"
The king replied,"No, butter is obtained only after churning the yogurt."
The son said,"Your Majesty! Similarly, God can only be attained through intense meditation, contemplation, and churning. This is the answer to your second question: how can one find God."
Now the king became eager for the answer to the third question and said,"Okay! Now tell me, what does God do?"
The minister's son said,"Your Majesty! To answer this question, you will have to accept me as your guru."
The king laughed and said,"Okay! From today, you are our guru."
The son said,"If I am your guru, then the guru sits higher than the disciple."
Hearing this, the king stood up from his throne and made the minister's son sit on it. He himself sat down on a lower seat.
Sitting on his throne, the minister's son said,"Your Majesty! This is God's play. He can turn a king into a pauper and a pauper into a king in an instant. This is the answer to your third question: what does God do?"
The king remained silent for a few moments after hearing this. Then he smiled and said,"Wonderful! Your wisdom is truly admirable."
The king praised the minister's son lavishly and honored him with a suitable reward. His wisdom resonated throughout the court, and everyone acknowledged that true wisdom comes not from age, but from understanding and wisdom.
