The Donkey's Discovery

Once upon a time, a donkey named Bholu lived in a small, picturesque village. The village was surrounded by dense forests. No one came in from outside, nor did anyone from the village go out. Everyone was busy with their own menial tasks. Bholu carried loads for his master all day long, but in his heart, he wondered, "Is there a world beyond this forest?"

One day, he decided to go and see for himself. Early the next morning, as the first rays of the sun were falling on the earth, Bholu set off for the forest. The path was difficult, with bushes and thorns everywhere. But curiosity gave him the courage to continue. He simply kept walking, without knowing his direction—turning left, then right. He lost his way several times, but he never gave up. Finally, after much effort, he crossed the forest and saw a new village.

Meanwhile, in Bholu's village, there was an uproar: "Bholu the donkey has crossed the forest!"  Everyone wondered how he had done it. Some people said, "He must be very lucky, he must be living a comfortable life now." Hearing this, a pack of village dogs also started thinking, "If a donkey can cross the forest, why can't we?" The very next day, they too set out on the same path—following Bholu's scent, on the same trail.

Slowly, other animals in the village also started taking the same path. What had once been just Bholu's footprints now became a trail. Years passed. People also began to travel along the same path, because it was the most "familiar" route.

After some time, the village's population grew. Now people felt that a paved road should be built to cross the forest. The government began work, and a team of engineers came from the city. They surveyed the area and found that there were many easy ways to cross the forest.

When the engineers asked the villagers, "Which route do you take until now?"  So the villagers said, "Sir, there's already a trail here. Build a road on it."

The chief engineer smiled and said, "Okay! Who made this path?"

An elderly villager said, "Many years ago, a donkey discovered this path. He crossed the forest and went to the other side, and then everyone started following him."

Hearing this, the engineer laughed and said, "All of you, being humans, have been following the path made by a donkey for so many years! Do you know that this path is very long and difficult? The new path we have discovered is only a quarter of the distance and much easier."

The villagers were embarrassed. They realized that they had been mindlessly following the path shown by others. No one ever considered that there might be a new, better path.

From that day on, the villagers resolved not to imitate others, but to think for themselves and create their own paths.

Moral of the Story : - Many of us blindly follow the path shown by others—whether it's career, studies, or life decisions. But if we choose a path based on our own thinking, preferences, and interests, life can be much easier and more successful.

So remember—

"Follow your own path, not the path of others."

"He who finds a new path also creates a new destination."
