Vishnu Ji said.. O Laxmi I am going on a trip on Earth.
So after thinking for a while, Laxmi Maa said! O God, can I also come with you? Lord Vishnu thought for a moment and then said, you can come with me on one condition, you should not look towards the north direction after reaching the earth.
With this, Mother Lakshmi got her wish fulfilled by saying yes and early in the morning, Mother Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu reached the earth.
The Sun was just rising, the rain had ended at night, there was greenery all around, there was a lot of peace all around at that time and the earth was looking very beautiful... Mother Lakshmi was looking at the earth mesmerized by the mantra and forgot what promise she had given to her husband. And while looking around, she did not know when she started looking towards the north.
Maa Lakshmi saw a very beautiful garden in the north direction and a sweet fragrance was coming from that side and very beautiful flowers were blooming.
It was a flower field and Maa Lakshmi went to that field without thinking and plucked a beautiful flower, but what was this, when Maa Lakshmi came back to Lord Vishnu, there were tears in Lord Vishnu's eyes and Lord Vishnu told Maa Lakshmi that one should never take anything from anyone without asking, and also reminded her of her promise.
When Maa Lakshmi realized her mistake, she apologized to Lord Vishnu for this mistake, then Lord Vishnu said that you will definitely get the punishment for the mistake you have committed.
You have plucked flowers from the gardener's field without asking, this is a kind of theft, so now you live as a servant in the gardener's house for three years.. after that I will call you back to Vaikunth, Maa Lakshmi silently bowed her head and said yes..
And Maa Lakshmi took the form of a poor woman and went to the house of the owner of that field, the house was just a hut, and the owner's name was Madhav,
Madhav had a wife, two sons and three daughters, all of them lived somehow by working in that small field,
When Maa Lakshmi went to Madhav's hut as an ordinary and poor woman, Madhav asked.. Sister, who are you? And what do you want at this time?
Then Maa Laxmi said, I am a poor woman, there is no one to take care of me, I have not eaten for many days...give me any work, I will also do the household work in your house, just give me shelter in a corner of your house. Madhav was a very kind hearted person, he felt pity, but he said, sister I am very poor, my income barely covers my household expenses, but even if I had four daughters instead of three, I would have still managed to survive,
If you can be my daughter and be happy with whatever we eat, then come inside daughter. Madhav gave Maa Lakshmi shelter in his hut, and Maa Lakshmi lived as a maid in Madhav's house for three years,
The very next day after Maa Lakshmi came to Madhav's house, Madhav earned so much from flowers that he bought a cow in the evening,

Madhav always thought that I got all this after this woman came, my luck has come in the form of this daughter, and now 3 years had passed, but Maa Lakshmi still worked in the house and in the field,
One day when Madhav came home after finishing work in his fields, he saw a woman in the form of a goddess, laden with jewelry, at the door in front of his house,
After looking carefully, he recognized that this is my adopted fourth daughter, that is, the same woman, and recognized that she is Maa Lakshmi,
By now Madhav's entire family had come out, and everyone was looking at Maa Lakshmi in surprise,
Madhav said, O mother.. forgive us.. we unknowingly made you work in the house and in the field... O mother, what kind of crime is this, O! Maa please forgive us all..
Now Maa Lakshmi smiled and said..
Madhav... you are a very good and kind person, you kept me like your daughter, like a member of your family,
In return I give you a boon that you will never be short of happiness and wealth, you will get all the happiness you deserve, and then Maa went to Vaikuntha sitting in the chariot sent by her husband.
