Do Move Ahead In Life But Do Not Harm Nature

That is about 80 years ago. Some laborers were cutting down a lush green tree on Pedder Road in Mumbai (India). A gentleman stopped near those laborers and said, 'Why are you cutting this tree? This is like a human. 

'The workers replied, 'We have got the order, because this road has to be widened. 

'The gentleman said, 'Wait. I request you wait an hour. Till then I do something. 

The laborers agreed to that person and decided that this tree would be cut after an hour. 

After about an hour some more officers came there. He uprooted that tree from there and took it to some other place and made arrangements to plant it back. Then the workers came to know that the person was the scientist Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha. 

Dr. Bhabha was the architect of India's nuclear energy programme. He believed that our country should become nuclear power, but he was very serious about the environment. He talked to the Mumbai authorities and put pressure that trees should not be cut, they should be uprooted and planted elsewhere.  Later he got it done.  

Moral  -  Dr.  Bhabha has taught us that we should have a scientific approach, we should also be progressive, but should not harm the nature and environment for our benefit.
