Fight For Alcohol

Every war in the world is fought for one reason or the other, and thousands of soldiers have to lose their lives due to those wars, but about 231 years ago, a war was fought for very strange reasons, in which  About 10 thousand soldiers on the same side were killed. By the way, it would be better not to call it a war, because there was no army fighting from the other side in it. Due to a mistake, soldiers on the same side clashed and killed each other.

This battle is known as 'Battle of Karansebes'.  By the way, people also call it the most ridiculous war in the world. The matter dates back to 1788, when about one hundred thousand Austrian soldiers came out to capture the city of Karansebes. At that time there was also a war going on between Austria and Turkey. On the night of September 21, he reached near the river Timis and surrounded Karansebes from all sides. They did not see the Turkish army around the river, but they did see a camp of Romani people across the river. When the Austrian cavalry arrived there, the Romani invited them to drink.

Now that the Austrian cavalrymen were tired, they sat down with the Romani people on the banks of the river and enjoyed wine. Meanwhile some Austrian infantrymen also reached there and seeing the horsemen drinking, they also demanded a little wine, but the horsemen refused them. On this he got angry and clashed with the horsemen. Meanwhile, suddenly a soldier opened fire.

Now the soldiers who were resting on the other side of the river on hearing the sound of gunshots felt that the Turks had attacked. So he got up and shouted Turkish soldiers- Turkish soldiers without understanding anything started firing bullets across the river. The soldiers on this side of the river also felt that the Turks had attacked, so they also started firing indiscriminately and started killing their own soldiers.

Here, the German officer leading the Austrian troops stopped the soldiers from doing so, but the Austrian soldiers did not understand the meaning. After that the atmosphere got worse. Austrian soldiers began to see their soldiers as Turkish soldiers in the dark and they started killing each other to save their lives. It is said that an Austrian soldier had fired artillery on his own fellow soldiers. Due to such a mistake, Austrian soldiers clashed with each other and thousands of lives were lost.
