King 'Ivan the Terrible'

There were many kings in the world whom people still remember for their good deeds, while there were some rulers who are known for their cruel rule. The name of Russia's most dreaded king Ivan is also included in the cruel rulers of the world.

In history, this cruel king of Russia is also known as Ivan the Terrible. When Ivan, a resident of Moscow, was three years old, his father died. A few years later, Ivan also lost his mother. After this, power came in the hands of Ivan.

Ruler made at the age of 13

The king of Russia was Ivan, but due to his young age, the members of the council used to rule and take any decision. However, at the age of 13, Ivan took the reins of power in his own hands. After this Ivan took Andrey Shuisky captive in 1543. You will be surprised to know that Andrey was running the rule in the name of Ivan. Ivan felt threatened by his own people, as his mother and three wives were poisoned to death.  According to a media report, Ivan created the first oprichnina in Russia, which can be called Russia's first secret police force. Through this force, he tortured the people sitting in high positions of the government so that no one could raise his voice against him.

15 thousand people died in the massacre

According to media reports, Ivan committed a massacre in the city of Novgorod during 1570. In this, 15 thousand people lost their lives in just five weeks. He did not like a single voice against himself.

It is said that once he did not like the clothes of his pregnant daughter-in-law, so he beat her fiercely due to which the child died in the stomach. When the son came to know about this, he opposed the father, after which Ivan got angry and killed the son by hitting him on the head.
