The Worship

The war of Mahabharata was over. Bhishma Pitamah was lying on the bed of arrows in his camp. He had arrows all over his body. In such a situation, Shri Krishna came to him with the Pandavas.

Shri Krishna wanted Bhishma to give the knowledge of Rajdharma to the Pandavas. At the same time everyone saw that Bhishma Pitamah had tears in his eyes. The Pandavas were surprised to see this and asked Shri Krishna, 'You say that he is a great ascetic, we also know that our grandfather is a wonderful person, but look, he has been crying after contemplating death at the last moment. While they have got the boon of euthanasia.

'Shri Krishna knew what the real thing was, yet he said, 'Let's ask Bhishma Pitamah only why are you crying in fear of death.'

When Shri Krishna asked this, Bhishma said, 'You know the reason for my crying, but I want to tell the Pandavas that the tears in my eyes are not due to my death, I was liquefied thinking of Krishna's performance and my eyes are wet.  This thought is coming in my mind that the Pandavas, whose protector is Shri Krishna, one after the other calamities came in their lives.  Being in the life of God does not mean that there will be no suffering. Sufferings will come, but God is with us, trust in God, then He will give us extra powers to deal with sorrows. Just thinking of this brought tears to my eyes.'

Lesson - The lesson of this episode is that if we do worship, then we should not expect that there will be no sorrows and obstacles in our life, sorrows and obstacles will come, but the courage we get by doing devotion, Because of them we can easily solve all such problems.
