Thinking Power

This incident dates back to the time when Abraham Lincoln was the President of the United States. The then US Defense Minister sent a letter to a prominent army officer, which the officer mistook to understand. When the defense minister came to know about this, the defense minister was very angry.

When US President Abraham Lincoln spoke to the Defense Minister about the subject, the Defense Minister told Abraham Lincoln that the officer had disobeyed my order. So I will write him a harsh letter for this.

After hearing this, President Abraham Lincoln said to the Defense Minister, "All right. You write the letter and use the harsh words in that letter."

In this way, the defense minister wrote a harsh letter to that army officer. The defense minister, after writing the letter, took the letter to President Abraham Lincoln.

President Abraham Lincoln said without looking at the Minister of Defense, "All right. Now tear this letter away and throw it away. It is no use to send such a letter. When I am in a rage, I write the letter. Then tear that letter down. In this way I overcome my anger. " The defense minister was stunned to hear of President Abraham Lincoln.

To say that we should control our anger, because anger destroys our thinking power.
