The Jackal's Fatal Mistake

Once upon a time, a cunning and hungry jackal set out for a village in search of food. He hadn't found a decent prey for days, so his stomach was burning with hunger. As he walked, he reached a village where a market was being held that day. There was hustle and bustle everywhere. People were busy buying and selling, some laughing, others bargaining.

Suddenly, the jackal heard loud noise and applause. People were gathered together, watching something. The jackal was naturally very curious. He thought,

"Looks like something interesting is happening today. Why not go and see?"

He slowly moved towards the crowd and peeked between the people's legs. He saw two strong and powerful goats engaged in a fierce fight in the middle of the road. The two goats were slamming into each other with their sharp horns.  The entire area reverberated with the sound of the collision.

People were enjoying the fight. Some were clapping, others were shouting. But the fight was so fierce that within moments, both goats were covered in blood. Fresh blood flowed from their bodies and began to spill onto the road.

As soon as the smell of blood reached the jackal's nostrils, his hunger and greed were aroused. His mouth watered. He couldn't help but lick the blood spilled on the ground. He found the taste of blood very pleasing. Slowly, he moved closer to the goats.

A dangerous thought then occurred to him:

"Since these two goats are already injured, why don't I kill them and have a hearty meal?"

Hunger and greed clouded his reason. He didn't even consider that both goats were still very powerful and furious.

Suddenly, the jackal pounced on the goats.

But his foolishness proved to be his final mistake.

The goats became even more enraged by his move. They surrounded the jackal. One goat lifted him up with its sharp horns and threw him to the ground. Another goat repeatedly struck him with its horns. The jackal screamed and cried, but it was too late.

In a few moments, the jackal's body became lifeless. His greedy eyes were closed forever. Meanwhile, the goats, as if nothing had happened, dispersed in different directions after a while. The crowd also gradually dispersed.

The jackal, who had come to take advantage of others' conflict, became a victim of his own foolishness and greed.

💐Lesson : -

One must think carefully before taking any step.

A person who exploits others' conflicts to serve his own interests often becomes a victim of his own destruction.

A decision made out of greed destroys wisdom and leads to downfall.
