Four friends lived in a village. Three of them were very learned, but they completely lacked practical wisdom.
The fourth friend was less educated, but he was very skilled in practical matters.
One day, the four friends set off for the capital to try their luck. On the way, they came to a forest.
There, they saw some bones under a tree. One of them examined the bones and said, "These are the bones of a lion. I can gather these bones and, with my knowledge, assemble the skeleton of a dead lion."
The second scholar said, "With my knowledge, I can put flesh on that skeleton, fill it with blood, and cover it with skin."
The third scholar said, "With my knowledge, I can bring this lifeless creature back to life."
The fourth friend, who was skilled in practical wisdom, was greatly surprised to hear his three friends' words. He warned his learned friends, "Friends, bringing a lion back to life will not be without danger."
Hearing this, the first scholar said, "Oh, he's a fool! This idiot is jealous of our knowledge."
The other two learned friends also supported him. Seeing this, the wise man quickly climbed a tree. The three learned friends began to use their knowledge.
The first scholar gathered all the bones and assembled the skeleton. The second scholar put flesh on the skeleton, filled it with blood, and covered it with skin.
The third scholar, using his knowledge, brought the lifeless lion back to life. As soon as it came to life, the lion roared, stood up, and attacked the three of them. The three scholars were killed on the spot.
The fourth friend's life was saved because of his practical wisdom and foresight.
