The Lazy Man and the Fox

There lived a very lazy man in a village. He didn't do any work. He simply sat idle and thought all day long.

One day, while wandering aimlessly, he came across a mango orchard. There were many trees laden with juicy mangoes. The sight of the juicy mangoes made his mouth water, and he climbed a tree to pluck them.

But as he climbed the tree, he spotted a fox. One of its legs was broken, and it was limping.

Looking at the fox, the lazy man wondered, "How did this fox survive in such a condition in this forest full of wild animals? How had it not been hunted yet?"

A few moments later, the entire forest echoed with the lion's ferocious roar, which sent all the animals fleeing in fear. But the fox, with its broken leg, couldn't escape. It stood there.

The lion began approaching the fox.

The lazy man thought that now the lion would kill and eat the fox.

But what happened next was strange.

The lion approached the fox and stood there. He had a piece of meat in his mouth, which he dropped in front of the fox. The fox began to eat it with confidence. After a while, the lion left.

Seeing this, the lazy man began to think that God truly is all-powerful. He has provided food and drink for all creatures on earth, whether animal or human. He returned home.

After returning home, he lay in bed for two or three days, waiting for someone to bring him food and drink, just as God had sent food for the fox through the lion.

But nothing happened.

Hunger began to worsen his condition. Finally, he had to leave the house.

Outside the house, he saw Baba sitting under a tree.  He went to him and narrated the entire incident in the forest and said, "Baba Ji! Why is God doing this to me? He has food for animals, but not for humans."

Baba Ji replied, "Son! It's not like that. God has all the provisions. For you too, just like for others. But the thing is, He wants to make you a lion, not a fox."
