The Power of Love: A Tale of Three Saints

One day, a woman was working in her kitchen. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. She wiped her hands and headed for the door. As soon as the door opened, she saw three elderly saints standing at her door. They were dressed like sages, their faces were radiant, and their eyes were filled with peace.

The woman politely said, "Mahatma ji, you are welcome. Please come in. Tell me how I can serve you."

The three saints smiled and said, "Daughter, we have traveled a long way. We need to eat. If food is ready in your house, we will accept the offerings here; otherwise, we will move on."

The woman immediately replied, "No, no, the food is almost ready. I was in the kitchen; everything will be ready in a short while. Please sit down."

Hearing this, one of the saints asked, "Is your husband at home?"

The woman replied, "No, they've gone to the market and will return shortly."

The Mahatma said, "Okay, daughter, we'll wait until then, but we won't enter the house until your husband returns."

The woman agreed and went inside. A short while later, her husband returned. She told him everything: "Three Mahatmas are standing at the door, wanting food, but saying they'll only come in when the man of the house arrives."

The husband was delighted and said, "Oh! This is very good. Quickly prepare the food and invite them in."

The woman went out and called the Mahatmas. She said, "Mahatma ji, my husband has arrived. Please come in now."

Then one Mahatma said, "Daughter, we three don't enter anyone's house together. Now go and ask your husband which of the three you want to invite into the house—love, wealth, or success. Whoever is chosen will enter your house."

The woman was confused. She went inside and told her husband everything. The husband immediately said, "Call for wealth! If there is wealth in the house, everything will come automatically."

The woman said, "No, success is necessary before wealth. If there is success, wealth will come automatically."

They both had different opinions, and the debate continued for a while. Finally, the husband said, "Okay, do whatever you think is right."

The woman went outside again and said, "Mahatma ji, my husband and I have thought a lot, but we haven't reached a conclusion. Whichever of you three wants to come, please enter our house."

Upon hearing this, the three Mahatmas looked at each other, smiled, and turned to leave.

The woman became nervous and said, "Hey! Why are you leaving? Please come inside."

Then the Mahatma standing in the middle, whose name was Prem, said, "Daughter, the three of us go from door to door to test people. We turn away from anyone who, driven by greed, invites wealth or success. But we all go to the person who first invites love into their home. Where there is love, wealth and success come automatically."

With this, the three Mahatmas slowly moved forward. The woman stood there, regretting—if only she had chosen love first.

This short story holds a profound life message—" Where love resides, both wealth and success naturally come to the home. Because love is the power that attracts all happiness. When jealousy, anger, and hatred linger in our hearts, no matter how hard we try, we cannot find contentment in life. But when we are filled with love, smiles, and positivity, all happiness enters our lives on its own."

So before chasing wealth or success, light the lamp of love in your home and heart—

Where there is love, prosperity follows.
