Fate's Design: The Unlikely Birth of a Future President

When the Second World War started to engulf the whole world, a Russian soldier got a few days leave.

He returned to his village, full of hope and fatigue… but as soon as he stepped on the threshold of the village, his eyes turned to stone.

The village was silent.

Only the smell of smoke and gunpowder was floating in the air.

The roads were deserted and there was a shadow of death everywhere.

Heaps of corpses were lying in military vehicles – hundreds, thousands of corpses, which were being prepared to be buried in a mass grave.

The soldier stood still.

His breathing became heavy.

Then his eyes fell on a corpse – or rather, on the shoes lying on the feet of a corpse.

The same shoes, which he had bought for his wife a few days ago.

The heartbeat increased.

He ran towards his house like a madman.

But… the house was empty.

There was silence. 

Frightened, he again ran to the place where the bodies were kept.

He looked closely – and yes, it was his wife.

His throat went dry with shock.

With trembling lips, he pleaded – “Please… give me my wife’s body. I will bury her with my own hands, not in a mass grave.”

Permission was granted.

With a heavy heart, he started to take his wife’s body down from the vehicle.

And then…

Like a miracle…

He felt his wife breathing lightly.

Confidence and tears welled up in his eyes at the same time.

He immediately took her to the hospital.

She was treated, and slowly his wife came back from the door of death.

⏳ Time passed.

Life got back on track.

And a few years later, the same wife – who was supposed to be buried in a mass grave – became a mother.

A child was born from her womb. 

The people of the village together named him – Vladimir.

Yes… the same Vladimir Putin –Today’s President of Russia.

A person who was born defeating death.

As if fate had saved him so that one day he would become the leader of one of the biggest powers in the world.
