Embracing the Future: Why Teens Must Learn AI Now

Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis has given a clear message to teenagers that learn now, otherwise you will be left behind. DeepMind is the same advanced research lab that has developed Gemini chatbot and other high-level AI technologies. This lab is leading Google's biggest efforts towards developing AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) i.e. AI with human level intelligence.

Recently at the Google I/O developer conference, Demis Hassabis said that it may take less than a decade to turn AGI into reality. He said in the famous tech podcast "Hard Fork" that AI can completely change jobs in the coming 5 to 10 years. He says, "Just like the Internet defined millennials and smartphones defined Gen Z, generative AI is going to become the identity of Gen Alpha."

Prepare yourself for the age of AI : - Demis Hassabis urged young people to start learning AI tools and techniques now. "Whatever happens with AI, if you understand it and know how to use it, you will always be ahead," he said. He advised students to make themselves "technology ninjas" and adopt the "art of learning", as this will help them survive in a fast-changing world.
