With the help of this tree, many couples have also got married. This is an oak tree in the Dodau forest of Germany, which is known as the mailbox of lovers.

A knot of the oak tree has been used as a mailbox since 1892. This tree also has a postal code, where 50-60 letters come every month. Some of these letters have led to friendships and marriages.

Since 1892, the knot in the tree has been used to exchange love letters. This tree has got its own postal code. German postal workers deliver 50 to 60 letters to this unusual mailbox every month. This 25 meter i.e. 82 feet tall tree is more than 500 years old. Employees use stairs to reach the knot i.e. mailbox located 3 meters above the ground.

Some letters are sent from other parts of the world and can be read by those who reach the pen. Sometimes one can even find potential pen pals among the writers. According to the German postal service, this unique form of communication has even led to a few marriages in the past few years.
