The Rare Water Allergy

Life on earth is not possible without water. Everyone needs water to survive, but water has become an enemy for one woman. This woman is a resident of Britain, whose name is Kendall Bryce. The British woman is suffering from a rare water allergy called 'Aquagenic Urticaria'. Due to this, the woman's life has become full of difficulties. Kendall Bryce is only 25 years old.

The condition is so severe that it is difficult for the woman to even take a bath. Kendall says that when she takes a shower or suddenly gets wet in the rain, her body starts burning and swelling. This makes her feel like she is burning with fire.

Due to this rare allergy, she has to face not only physical pain but also mental stress. She is not able to clean her body properly. Kendall has told that due to this disease she can't even wash twice a week because its side effects are very serious.

Aquagenic urticaria is also called water allergy. It is a type of urticaria (hives). Due to this disease, painful rashes appear on the body of the affected person as soon as he comes in contact with water. This makes the skin red. In most cases, this disease occurs after adolescence. Till now, only 37 cases have been reported since 1964.

According to Kendall, in the beginning of this disease she used to feel only a sharp pain on the skin like pricking of a thorn, but now this pain has increased. She feels as if someone has burnt her body with a lighter. She is not able to bathe her one year old daughter. Her mother helps her in this. Till now scientists have not been able to find out what is the real cause of this disease. There is no permanent cure for this rare allergy.
