The Devil's Sea

There are many places in the world which are full of unimaginable events and observations. Most people call them haunted while others look for scientific explanations.

A sea area in Japan is also known as the Bermuda Triangle. Actually, in the year 2012, a ship was going from China to Japan, but it did not reach the beach. After this, the investigation agencies of China started looking for the ship. For years, the ship named MV LG and the 19 crew members aboard it were searched, but nothing could be found. After this, this area came to be called the Bermuda Triangle of the world. This sea area of central Japan is also considered very dangerous. According to media reports, more than 10 ships have disappeared here too.

This dangerous area of Japan is known as 'Devil Sea'. A professor and paranormal activities expert from China had given shocking information about this mysterious area. He called it the second Bermuda Triangle of the world.

The most surprising thing is that this area of Devil Sea is also triangular like the Bermuda Triangle. Because of this it is considered as the second Bermuda Triangle of the world. Due to mysterious events taking place in this area the Japanese government has declared this entire sea area as restricted.

In the year 1955 9 Jihads including Japan's war plane suddenly disappeared from this area. Japan had also sent a special ship to search for these ships, but after a few days that ship also mysteriously disappeared from this area. After these incidents this area was restricted and it was named Dragon Triangle and Devil Sea.

Geographically, the triangle is located around Miyake, a Japanese island located 100 km south of Tokyo. However, the exact location of the Devil's Sea is disputed.

Some reports say it is 110 km off the east coast of Japan, while others claim it is located near the Japanese volcanic island of Iwo Jima, about 1,200 km off the Japanese coast.

The area is also called the Pacific Bermuda Triangle, reflecting its position which is exactly opposite the Bermuda Triangle and the similarities in the "paranormal phenomena" of the area with the Bermuda Triangle.

Notable events in the Devil's Sea : -

It is said that the conqueror Kublai Khan, the fifth Great Khan of the Mongol Empire and grandson of Genghis Khan, tried to enter Japan in 1274 and 1281 AD. However, in both attempts, he failed to invade the country after losing his ships and 40,000 crew members in this triangular area, reportedly due to storms.

When Kublai Khan and his army abandoned the plan to invade Japan, the Japanese believed that God sent storms to protect them from enemies.

Another story is about a mysterious woman boarding a ship in the Devil's Sea in the early 1800s. The ship is said to have resembled the traditional Japanese device for burning incense. However, the destination and identity of the ship remain a mystery.

In the 1940s and 1950s, several fishing vessels and more than five military ships disappeared between Miyake Island and Iwo Jima.

Japan sent a research ship, the Kaiyo Maru No. 5, in 1952 to investigate the missing people. However, this ship also went missing. Its wreckage was later recovered, but no one knows what happened to the 31 crew members.

After this incident, the Japanese government declared the area dangerous for sea travel and cargo transportation. Moreover, after this unprecedented incident, all efforts to uncover the facts behind the mystery also failed.

Origin of the name of Devil's Sea: - The word dragon in the name of Devil's Sea originates from the Chinese legend that dragons live in its waters. According to these legends, the dragons under the sea attack the ships passing by to satiate their hunger. These legends date back much before the AD era - to the 1000 BC era.

There are many hypotheses including scientific explanations to solve the mystery. Several attempts were made to understand the truth behind this extraordinary phenomenon.

Scholars like Ivan Sanderson suggested that ships disappeared in the Devil's Sea because of the hot and cold currents crossing this vile vortices. According to him, these currents result in electromagnetic disturbances that trap the ships passing by.

Another hypothesis suggested that sub-sea volcanoes in the area were responsible for this. The eruptions of these volcanoes may have led to such accidents, corroborating the stories of dragons dragging ships and their crews into the depths of the sea.

According to marine scholars, due to volcanic and seismic activities under the sea, islands in the area often suddenly disappear, while new islands appear at the same speed.

Another scientific research claimed that the anomalies were the result of an environmental phenomenon. The researchers argued that there were methane hydrates on the sea floor.

When methane hydrate gas or methane clathrates explode, bubbles form on the surface of the water. This affects buoyancy and the ship is destroyed without leaving a trace.
