The Mysterious Lake : Kawah Ijen Lake

There are many such mysterious and unique places on this earth, where natural scenes and different forms of nature surprise us. Although many people do not know much about them, while some people like to know about it. In this episode, today we are going to tell you about such a mysterious lake, knowing about which you will be surprised. Actually, this lake is different from any other lake because the water of this lake suddenly turns blue in the night. Its water is seen scattering like a turquoise stone. This is the reason why this lake is famous all over the world. Scientists have made many claims about the reason behind it, but its mystery has not been solved even today.

This mysterious lake is in Indonesia, which is known as Kawah Ijen Lake.  The water of this lake is the most acidic (saline) compared to any common lake. Also, its temperature remains up to about 200 degree Celsius. The surprising thing is that its water remains normal during the day, but at night the color of the lake turns blue.

At midnight this lake starts shining like a blue colored stone. Although its temperature is very high, tourists do not go here. Even for scientists it is not possible to stay here for a long time.

Scientists have been doing research for decades to find out about the mystery of this lake, but so far no concrete reason has been revealed. It is said that there are many volcanoes around this lake, whose eruptions keep causing earthquakes.

These volcanic eruptions release gases like hydrogen chloride and sulfuric dioxide. In such a situation, it is possible that due to the reaction of these gases, the color of the water of the lake becomes blue. But even after this a question arises that if the gases come out then why does the water change color only at night.
