Probably not, but it is important for you to know because fraudsters are doing the work of cheating people by finding new ways these days through WhatsApp. So let us tell you how you can protect yourself from fraud by keeping in mind what are the things.

Do not click on unknown links

If not in any group on the day of WhatsApp, then some unknown link will come on your personal chat. In this, many other benefits like giving free things are told, and in this affair people click on them.

As soon as you open these links, all the information of your mobile starts being shared with the fraudsters. Also, these links work to cheat you by stealing your banking information.  Therefore, never click on them nor forward such messages to anyone else.

Avoid getting scammed by offers

Nowadays people are also selling their goods on WhatsApp to increase their business. But some fraudsters lure people with fake offers under their guise, and then after that they do the work of duping people. Therefore, first check carefully about any offers, and only then think of taking it.

Do not share confidential information

The banking sector has grown enormously, and most of the services are online these days.  Even the bank helps you through WhatsApp. But keep one thing in mind that no bank ever asks you for confidential things like your PIN and OTP. But fraudsters ask people to share these things. So be careful with them.
