Dangerous Lake Natron

There are many very dangerous rivers and lakes around the world. Today we are going to tell about a lake, knowing about which you will be surprised. In the year 2013, frightening pictures of this lake were revealed.

Wildlife photographer Nick Brandt took pictures of this lake. In these pictures there were frozen corpses of animals. Because of the water of this lake, the animals were turned into stone. People around the world were shocked after seeing these painful pictures.

The name of this dangerous and beautiful lake is Lake Natron which is located in Tanzania.  Natron Lake, located in the northern Ngorongoro district of the Arusha region, is called the Salt Lake or Alkaline Lake. It is believed that this lake is extremely dangerous. It is said that the creature coming in contact with this lake turns into a stone.

Actually Natron Lake is considered the home of wildlife. Creatures that go into the water for flamingos without any fear. The pH of the water in this lake is around 12. It is equivalent to household bleach. Predatory creatures cannot survive for long in the water of this lake.

The water of this lake is salty because of the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. This volcano is the first such lake in the world from which strange lava i.e. natrocarbonatite comes out. The water has become saline due to the drag of sodium carbonate and other minerals into natrocarbonite from the hills surrounding the salt lake.

Due to the high amount of pH in the water of this lake, the skin and eyes of most animals get burnt. Along with this, animals die due to being in water for a long time.

Flamingo is not affected by water as the skin is hard and scaly. But human skin is soft.  Sometimes the water of this lake gets heated up to 60 degree Celsius. This salt lake may not make you a stone, but if there is such a wound on the skin, which you cannot even imagine.

The longer a person stays in the water of this lake, the more he burns. But the amount of pH in water varies during the rainy season. If the conditions are bad, then a person can get burnt badly. That's why this lake is called extremely dangerous.
