Edith Wharton was an American novelist and designer. She was the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Literature.

  • Life is either like a tight rope or a bed of soft feathers.  I like tight rope.  
  • The best thing about traveling is that you get to know that there are gentle and polite people in the world.  
  • The person who understands when to be humble and when to be firm, he is wise.
  • If you stop trying to be happy then you will be able to spend better time. 
  • Nothing beats a good conversation. That air is worth breathing where open thoughts are scattered. 
  • I am looking for a man who makes life interesting, not easy.  
  • We cannot behave like the characters of the novel.
