Satisfaction

There is a popular folklore in Iraq - there was a famine in a large area of Baghdad. There was chaos all around. People were dying of hunger and animals and birds were also dying.

In such a terrible situation, one day a rich man of that region, in showing mercy, announced to give a bun daily to all the young children.

All the children gathered in a garden since morning. The rich man himself started distributing bread to the children with his own hands. The loaves were big and small. All the children were pushing each other and trying to get big bread.

But a little girl stood quietly aside. She finally came forward. The last remaining bread was the smallest. The girl happily took that bread and went home.

The next day the loaves were again distributed.  The girl still got the smallest bread, which she had no problem with. When the girl went home and broke the bread, a gold stamp came out of it. His mother asked the rich man to return the stamp.

She immediately came to the rich man and said, "This seal has come out of my bread. It must have fallen into flour, so I have come to give it."

The rich man said, "No daughter, this is your reward for satisfaction."  The girl shook her head and said, "But I got the fruits of my satisfaction only then. The rich man adopted the girl and fixed her mother's monthly salary.

It means to say that if any sense of satisfaction is maintained without unnecessary haste in any circumstance of life, its far-reaching consequences will be better.
