A Banquet

A Brahmin lived in a village. Once a family invited him to a Brahmin banquet and gave him a goat in charity. After getting the goat, the Brahmin was very happy and happily started going to his house with the goat. The road was long and deserted. On the way, seeing the goat on the shoulder of the Brahmin, the idea of stealing that goat came to the mind of three thieves. The three thieves plan to steal him.

That is why the three thieves separated. Passing by the Brahmin, a thief said to him, 'What Pandit ji, being a Brahmin, carries a dog on his shoulders.'

The Brahmin said to the thief, 'Are you blind?  You are saying anything. You don't see, it's a goat, not a dog. ' The thief said, 'It was my job to tell you to know more.

After walking a little distance, the Brahmin found another thief and said to the Brahmin, 'Pandit ji, don't you know that higher people should not carry a dog on their shoulders. The Brahmin also provoked another thief and went ahead.

After going a little further, the Brahmin found a third thief and asked, 'Panditji, what is the reason for carrying this dog on his back?' This time there was doubt in the mind of the Brahmin that his eyes are not deceived. So many people cannot lie and he went a little further on the way and removed the goat from his shoulder and proceeded towards his house.

As soon as he went ahead, the three thieves took the goat from there and killed him and ate his feast.

The meaning of this story is that many times, even speaking a lie collectively, it looks like the truth and people fall prey to deception.
