Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar

Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was an Indian teacher and social reformer.

Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was a philanthropist. Helping Others Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar considered his ultimate religion.

One day he comes to know that the village philanthropist, kind and helpless in times of crisis, Jayaraj has died and his wife has no money for the cremation.

Vidyasagar did not personally know Jayaraj but Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar had a strong desire to help his wife. Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar started thinking of solutions. After much thinking, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar thought of a solution.

Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar arrived directly at Jayaraj's house. While comforting Jayaraj's wife, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar said, "I took a loan a few days ago from Jayaraj, sister-in-law. I was coming to repay a few rupees from him that this sad news was received on the way. Please keep this money. I will pay the rest soon. "

Jairaj's wife took the money while thanking him.  Jayaraj's funeral took place very well. Even in future, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar kept sending money to Jayaraj's family.

After a few years Jayaraj's wife came to know about the reality, she came to Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar with her sons and fell at their feet crying, "You lied to help us, how will we repay this debt  . "

Then Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar said, "What a sin to lie for good deeds.

The essence of this passage is that the untruth spoken for good work is not counted in the category of sin but in virtue. That is, the falsehood in which the public interest is, is praiseworthy.
