Good Deeds

In the past, a merchant lived in a river bank village. Sometimes, the merchant used to fill the goods in the boat and go to another village to do business. The merchant had a lot of wealth.

He used to travel by boat. But he did not know how to swim. One day he was returning home from another village selling goods. His boat got pierced in the middle of the river. The boat started to fill water. The merchant began to fear that he would not survive anymore and would die.

Then suddenly he saw a fisherman's boat a short distance away. The merchant called the fishermen to him and said, 'My boat is sinking. I do not know how to swim. You save me. I will give you all my wealth. The fisherman seated him in his boat.

After sitting in the fisherman's boat, the merchant's condition became somewhat normal and the merchant started thinking. The merchant said to the fisherman, 'If I give you all my property, how will I take care of my family? Therefore I cannot give you the whole property, I will give you half the property.

The fisherman continued to sail quietly. The merchant started thinking again. After some time the merchant said to the fisherman, 'My children also have the right to my property.  Therefore I cannot give you half the property, I will give one-fourth of the property. '

The fisherman did not say anything. Soon the boat reached the shore. Now the merchant's mind completely changed. The merchant was safely on shore. He thought that the fisherman had not done anything big by saving my life. This was his duty.

The merchant, thinking this, gave the fisherman a gold coin. But the fisherman also refused to take it. The merchant kept the coin with him and went from there.

In the same way, very few thoughts of doing good work come in our mind and whenever any such idea of such pious deeds comes in mind, then that work should be done immediately.  Because as time progresses, our thoughts also begin to change. So whenever you think of doing some good work, do it immediately.
