Very few people in the world know that his wife Sophia has played a major role behind the success of the great English writer Nathaniel Howthorne.  One day, frustrated Nathaniel Howthorne returned home and told his wife, Sophia, that he had been fired from his customhouse job.  After that Nathaniel Howthorne said, 'I am very unlucky, I can never do anything in my life.'

Nathaniel Howthorne's wife Sophia said to him, "Don't be so sad."  You are very talented  Why don't you write a book?  You should write. '

Hearing this, Nathaniel Howthorne said to his wife, 'If I sit down to write a book, how will the expenses of our house go?'

Upon hearing this, Nathaniel Howthorne's wife Sophia took out a purse full of money from the cupboard. Nathaniel Hawthorne was surprised to see this and asked his wife, 'Where did all this money come from?'

His wife Sophia replied, 'I have always known that you are a genius.  I knew that one day you would definitely write a book.  Every week I have made so much money by saving a little from the money you used to give me for home expenses.  With this money, we will run home for a year.

Nathaniel Howthorne got involved in his writing work after seeing such deep faith and dedication of his wife Sophia.  Before the year was over, he wrote the great Victorian era novel 'The Scarlet letter'.

The meaning of this is to say that one should never think of himself as weak and should not bow down to any problem, but should courageously move forward facing the problems.
