Importance of knowledge

Once in the ashram of a saint,a disciple brought a parrot from somewhere and kept it in a cage. The saint said to the disciple many times, "Do not imprison a parrot in a cage, because freedom is the greatest curse of the world.

But the disciple did not listen to the saint and did not leave the parrot.  The pupil allowed the parrot to remain in the cage.

Then the saint thought that the parrot should be told to be independent.

The saint ordered the cage into his hut and started teaching the parrot daily, 'Leave the cage, fly away.'

After a few days the parrot learned that thing completely.  Then one day the cage was accidentally left open while cleaning.  When the saint came to the hut, he saw that the parrot had come out and was moving around very comfortably, also saying in a loud voice that leave the cage and fly away.

Seeing the saint coming, the parrot went inside the cage again and started repeating his lesson very loudly.  The saint was very surprised to see this and felt sad.

The saint kept thinking that the parrot only remembered the words. If the parrot had understood its meaning then it would have become independent of this cage at this time!

 Story Summary :-

In the same way, we all learn big things of knowledge but we do not understand the meaning of all those things, due to which we are not able to take advantage of them even when we get the right time and opportunity, due to which we remain where we are, and can't move forward.
